My Version Of The Knorr Spinach Dip

This Knorr spinach dip is one of my all-time favorite dip recipes. I mean, it's just so darn flavorful, and it goes great on practically anything that you dip into it. Also, I just love how creamy, thick, and chunky it is. There's even a nice bit of crunch in every bite, thanks to some water chestnuts. Gah, it's so, so good.

Not to mention, you can literally whip this easy spinach dip recipe up in no time. In fact, it takes less than 10 minutes to put together. All you have to do is a little mixing of the ingredients. That's honestly all there is to it. The toughest part about this recipe is letting the dip chill in the fridge!

Now, I know I mentioned above that this is one of my favorite dip recipes, but another one of my favorites is this Rotel dip. I pretty much always serve this spinach dip along with the Rotel one to have an option for everyone! So, if you're looking for another dip recipe to make, give that a shot!

Ingredients

  • Mayonnaise- I used regular for an extra creamy dip.
  • Sour cream- for a little tang and more creaminess.
  • Canned water chestnuts- drained and chopped for an added crunch.
  • Knorr soup & vegetable recipe mix- for all of the delicious flavor.
  • Frozen chopped spinach- you'll want to cook it first and make sure to squeeze all of the water out before making the dip.

By the way, if you have these ingredients, then you almost have everything you need to make this dill dip recipe as well.

My Ingredient Substitutions Recommendations

Now, I like to make this spinach dip using the ingredients I listed above - I think it's just the most delicious way to make it. With that said, though, you definitely can make some adjustments to it.

First off, this spinach dip recipe calls for frozen spinach that's already cooked. But, honestly, you can totally use fresh spinach or baby spinach in this dip - you'll just have to cook it first. Simply just chop the fresh spinach and cook it down until it wilts, and then add it to the dip.

Now, if you want to turn this spinach dip into a spinach artichoke dip, all you have to do is add in some canned artichoke hearts. Just chop them into bite-sized pieces, cook them in a skillet, and then add them in.

And lastly, for garnishing, you can add some chopped green onions on top of the dip.

How To Make Knorr Spinach Dip

Step 1: Combine the Ingredients

So, you're going to start by adding the sour cream, mayonnaise, water chestnuts, and Knorr vegetable recipe mix into a large bowl. Then, you can stir all of these ingredients together until they are thoroughly combined.

Step 2: Add the Spinach

Next, if you haven't done so already, you'll want to thaw and drain the spinach. Then, after you've taken care of that, you can add it to the bowl and gently stir it into the creamy dip base. By the way, you'll want to use a spoon or spatula to break the spinach up and distribute any clumps of spinach throughout the dip.

Step 3: Chill and Serve

Now that the dip is good to go, you technically can eat it right away, but I think it tastes best when chilled. So, you'll want to cover the bowl of dip with plastic wrap - or put a lid that pairs with the bowl on top - and chill it in the fridge for about an hour. You can also store it overnight if you're making the dip ahead of time. Finally, you can serve the dip in a bowl - or in a bread bowl - with your desired dippers and enjoy!

Practically everything goes with this spinach dip, but if you're looking for some ideas, I have a few suggestions! Anyway, here are some ideas for what to serve with it:

  • Air Fryer tortilla chips
  • Crusty bread chunks
  • Bagel chips
  • Crackers
  • Corn tortilla chips
  • Fresh vegetables like carrot sticks, celery sticks, chopped cucumber, etc.
  • Serve the dip in a bread bowl (a bread bowl made from crusty bread works best)

How I Recommend Storing Leftovers

This recipe makes about 8servings, so it should be the perfect amount to serve as an appetizer at a Super Bowl party or get-together with friends. With that said, if you want more, you can always double or triple the recipe. Then if you end up with some leftovers, you can transfer them to an airtight container and store them in the fridge for about 3-4 days. Oh, and since it stores so well, you can totally make this dip days before you plan on serving it!
